STATE CONFERENCE – 2023
The State Conference of U3A Network NSW Inc. for 2023 was hosted by U3A Deniliquin Inc. at Deniliquin on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 April 2023.
Conference Report
“I am pleased to report that our recent State Conference at Deniliquin was a success, it was an event to share ideas and to have fellowship with colleague U3A members and guests.
Again I thank the team from Deniliquin U3A for organising the venue and for their attention to the details that made our short stay in Deni so pleasant.
Thank you to all who contributed to the program and a special thanks to our visitors from U3A Network Victoria, Glen Wall, Chair U3AAA and Kevin Whelan, NFP Technology Volunteer of the Year 2022. We also welcomed Jessica Cotter from NBN, who outlined how NBN may be engaged with U3As throughout Australia when U3A Australia Ltd is incorporated. Thanks to NBN and Jessica for her valuable contribution to our conference.”
Lorraine McKenzie issued an invitation to the 2024 Conference at Eastlakes (Belmont, Lake Macquarie), which will be held in April, 2024, in the week before the NSW School Holidays. Please put this in your diaries. I am sure it will be a very successful and enjoyable U3A NSW event.
As U3A Members are aware, the AGM will be held by ZOOM on June 8 at 2.00 pm. Nominations for Executive and Regional Representatives roles must be with the Returning Officer, Email by Wednesday 3 May. I thank Lorraine McKenzie, President of Eastlakes U3A, for acting as the Returning Officer again this year.
I draw you attention to the three downloads below from the Conference.

3. Phil Warren’s presentation about the Network’s Annual Census and the U3A Member fee that is used for the Network’s operational costs (overheads).
