The U3A Network is co-operating with Fire & Rescue NSW to promote a new DVD to inform older people about fire risk in the home. It appears that people aged over 65 make up a quarter of all fire-related deaths in NSW, and that almost half of these fires start in the kitchen.
The DVD was launched at the Northern Illawarra U3A. on 22nd June. It was produced by Why Documentaries (which also produced our promo DVD) and is narrated by nationally known actor Henri Szeps (a Sydney U3A member) as well as featuring ‘cameo’ appearances by 2 Northern Illawarra U3A members.
